The Huron County Library is very pleased to announce the launch of the Greg Reynolds Instrument Lending Library (GRILL). Presented in partnership with the Goderich Celtic Roots Festival, this initiative was created to make traditional music more accesible to everyone!
Named in honour of the late Greg Reynolds, a passionate supporter of music and the Celtic community, the GRILL celebrates Greg’s belief that music should be shared.
Whether someone has always wanted to try the fiddle, is curious about the concertina, or simply wants to pick up a guitar for the first time, the GRILL provides an opportunity to borrow instruments free of charge through the Huron County Library and begin their own musical journey.
Instruments available through this collection include:
- Banjo
- Concertina
- Bodhrán
- Guitars
- Harpsicles
- Mandolin
- Ukuleles
- Violin
To view the collection, check availability, or to place a hold on an instrument, visit our online catalogue or speak with branch staff.
New to playing? Library staff have also put together a collection of materials that includes sheet music, instruction and theory. Check it out!
All instrument kits have been generously provided by, and are the property of, the Goderich Celtic Folk Society.

His leadership of the Goderich Celtic Folk Society was a challenge he met with grace and passion. His wonderful spirit and his energy at the festival was inspiring.
