Freedom To Read Week: Banned Books Panel Discussion – Virtual

Join our panelists, Richard Beaudry, Michael Nyby, and the Huron County Library’s Jenni Boles for a discussion about the attempted banning of books, why protecting books is important, and what can be done to ensure people have the freedom to read.

Richard Beaudry is the recipient of the 2016 Canadian Library Association Award for the Advancement of Intellectual Freedom in Canada, he is also the former chair of the Intellectual Freedom Committee at the Canadian Federation of Library Associations, and a current member of the Centre for Free Expression.

Michael Nyby is the newly appointed chair of the Intellectual Freedom Committee at the Canadian Federation of Library Associations.

Jenni Boles is the Deputy County Librarian at the Huron County Library and she will be chatting about our local efforts to promote and defend intellectual freedom.
