teen reviewers volunteer program

Calling all Huron County teens! Earn volunteer hours by reviewing books, movies, video games and more from the Huron County Library collection. This is a fun way to share the love of reading with the Library’s patrons, while gaining volunteer hours from home!

How it works:

  • Receive one volunteer hour for every review written for the Library.
  • Review any book, graphic novel, video game or movie available from the Library’s collection
  • Once approved by Library staff, reviews will be shared on our online catalogue, website and/or social media.
  • Reviewers must be a Huron County student between the ages of 14-18.

Guidelines:

  • The review must be between 250-300 words long.
  • Reviews must use inclusive and respectful language and be free from spoilers.
  • You must include a rating out of 5 stars.
  • The review must be written in your own words.

Commitment:

  • Reviewers can write up to 3 reviews per quarter:
    • January – March (3 Reviews)
    • April – June (3 Reviews)
